We tested the relays for high starting currents

Such loads may occur in high-power incandescent lamps, LED lamps and electric motors.
How is the test carried out?
- Once every few seconds, the stand closes the relay and passes current pulses lasting 250 μs through its contacts. By combining several modules, we can achieve peak currents from 17A to 1650A.
- This cycle is repeated until the relay contacts fuse, thus completing the test.
This test allows us to compare the quality of the relay regardless of the documentation and choose the best option for use in new devices. For example, if one relay can withstand more current than the other, and both have a similar size, then it is preferable to use the first option.
