Некоторые счетчики имеют импульсный выход на оптроне, тогда два провода имеют полярность - "плюс" и "минус".

В таком случае минус подключается к GND, а "плюс" к входу.
In this case, minus connected to GND, and the "plus" to the input.
Либо "плюс" к питанию, минус к Аx (для первого способа).
Or "plus" to the power supply, negative to Ax (first method).
