Preparing to power on

Before you start

  1. Be sure to install a microSD card with the software image (included) into the device.
  2. Install a Micro-sized SIM card (if you plan to use the GSM module).
  3. Check the position of the switch.! N!#Connect the power supply.

microSD card

Installed in the memory card slot (top) with the contacts up.

Micro-SIM card

Installed in the Micro-SIM card slot (bottom) with the contacts down with the cut corner inward.

Switch position

The pressed side with a dot is off. Power supply There are three types: standard, DIN rail, PoE injector.

Do not connect two different power supplies at the same time, this will burn them and the controller.

The standard power supply is connected to the corresponding connector. The DIN rail power supply is connected with wires to the large terminal blocks Vin and Gnd (next to with a relay, see the diagram) Passive PoE power supply is connected Ethernet cable.

Antenna connection

As standard, the controller comes with a connected internal Wi-Fi antenna, radio 433 and an external GSM antenna on the SMA connector (in the first batch were supplied with an internal GSM antenna).

To connect an external antenna, use the adapter with u.fl to SMA. The location of u.fl GSM and Wi-Fi connectors is shown on the description page.

U.fl connector for external 433MHz antenna is located next to the base of the pin antenna, when connecting an external, unsolder/bite off the internal pin antenna.

If the cellular signal is weak, the controller may be unstable with the internal GSM antenna. Use externally and place it away from the controller.

First time start

The first switch-on of the device may take a long time (3-4 minutes). The first time you turn it on, SSH secret keys are generated and the serial number of the device is initialized.

IP-address

When connected via Ethernet, the Wiren Board Smart Home controller automatically receives an IP address via DHCP. You can find the IP address that the device received in the list of connected clients in the administrative interface of your router.
