The relay module has 3 terminals: NO (Normally Open), NC (Normally Closed) and COM. In case of absence of a control signal on the relay, the NC terminal is connected to the COM terminal while there is no galvanic contact between the COM and NO. When the control signal is received, the relay is switched and the COM terminal is connected to the NO terminal.
