Hardware Overview rev. 2.8-rus
Description
Here is a description of Wiren Board controller version 2.8.
Wiren Board consists of two printed circuit boards:
- modified iMX233-OLinuXino-MICRO/en
- main board Wiren Board
Main board contains:
- Wi-Fi/en based on Realtek chip RTL8188/en
- GSM/GPRS modem SIMCom SIM900R/en
- GPS/GLONASS receiver SIMCom SIM68V/en
- NFC on NXP chip PN532/en. The antenna for NFC is drawn around the perimeter of the Board. See also NFC/en
- USB to Ethernet Converter and USB hub SMSC LAN9514/en
- [[RS-485/en] - ADM3483.
- 8-channel analog multiplexer for ADC (7 terminals and supply voltage). See also ADC/en.
- Open collector outputs for Hardware Low voltage control
- SPI-to-UART bridge IC NXP SC16IS752/en
- SPI-GPIO-expander - Microchip MCP23S08/en
- The power supply circuit on the chip LTC4002
Dimensions
Board dimensions - length - 105 mm (+ 3 mm Ethernet and USB connectors), width - 54 mm (+3 mm power connector), height - 20 mm.
The distance between the mounting holes is 96 and 46 mm.
One of the corners is made with perforation for breaking. This makes it easy to install in the housing, where the corners are located under the cover screws rack.
Power supply
Supply voltage is 4.7-22V. The average consumption of the board is 1.5-2 watts. But since the GPRS module consumes up to 8W impulsively, it is recommended to use power supplies with a power of at least 10W.
Разъем питания 5.5x2.1мм, также входное напряжение можно подключать к клемме 17.
The On/Off Button
Connect the locking button or toggle switch to the holes on the Board. When the contacts are closed, the Board is disconnected. The battery continues to charge.
Power over Ethernet
Only in PoE-enabled version. Versions with PoE support have the inscription HLJ-6115ANL on the Ethernet-connector. Connecting Power over Ethernet to a Wiren Board without PoE support (labeled HanRun on the Ethernet connector) will damage the device!
Connecting PoE with the power supply causes damage to the power supply.
Power over Ethernet is supported via cable Passive PoE with voltage from 7 to 24 Volts.
Power is transmitted in unused pairs: "+" ("-") pair 4-5 (blue, white and blue), "-" ("+") on paired 7-8 (brown, white-brown). Polarity doesn't matter.
Battery
The Wiren Board allows you to connect a Li-Ion (Li-Pol) battery with a maximum voltage of 4.2 V. When you connect the power, the battery is charged with a current of up to 0.5 A (depending on the load). There is protection against over-discharge of the battery, at a voltage below 2.9 V the battery is disconnected. However, it is recommended to use protected batteries.
In the current version there is no protection against charging at low temperatures. Be careful, the batteries deteriorate from this.
It is necessary to meet the battery polarity!
ADC
The user can access 7 ADC channels displayed on the terminals (see table). The maximum measured voltage is 5V. See. ADC/en.
